System requirements for DocuWare Cloud

General requirements:

Operating systems:

  • Windows 10 (x86+x64), version *H2

  • Windows 11 (x64)

  • Windows Server 2016 (x64)

  • Windows Server 2019 (x64)

  • Windows Server 2022 (x64)

When official Microsoft support for a version of the operating system expires, DocuWare also discontinues support for that version at the same time. The end of support will not be communicated separately. Server and Client Setup will display warnings for unsupported operating systems in this case. The setup can still be executed.

Browser :

  • Firefox 50 and later

  • Chrome 54 and later

  • Edge Chromium

DocuWare Client Setup :

  • For a new installation of Desktop Apps, the current user must have local administrator rights on the computer. For an update of already installed Desktop Apps this is not required.

  • Generally .NET 4.8, when installing the Windows Explorer client or Local Data Connector.NET 6.

  • Windows Installer 4.5

Data transfer with DocuWare Cloud:

  • Access only via TLS protocol version 1.2

Special requirements:

DocuWare Desktop:

  • If DocuWare Desktop is used on a computer with Windows Server, "Desktop Experience" must be installed.

  • CPU: 4 * 2,0 GHz minimum

  • RAM: 4 GB minimum, 8 GB recommended

  • Hard disk: Required disk space depending on module selection, calculated and displayed during client setup

Connect to Outlook

  • Microsoft Office 2013, 2016 and 2019, each in 32-bit and 64-bit versions, and Office 365

  • Microsoft Exchange Server 2010, 2013, 2016, 2019 and Office 365

Connect to Mail

  • Microsoft Exchange Server 2010, 2013, 2016, 2019 and Office 365

DocuWare Request

  • .NET 4.5 or higher is required to start a DocuWare Request created with DocuWare Version 7.

Electronic signatures

  • For the integration of electronic signatures of the type 'biometric' the signature service provider ValidatedID supports these devices.
